В Нью-Йорке имеется около 40 таких дилеров. Информирующего дилера называют также первичным дилером (primary dealer).

Лицо, покупающее и продающее иностранную валюту (foreign exchange) на валютном рынке (foreign exchange market), которое обычно является служащим коммерческого банка (commercial bank). За услуги по продаже или покупке по поручению своих клиентов валюты банки получают комиссионные; дилеры могут также уполномочиваться играть на бирже, заключая сделки со срочными валютными курсами.
